Resources and FAQs to support the use of the WBL Participation Tracker.
Beginning in the 2023-2024 school year the WBL Participation Tracker or similar data entry for individual student WBL participation will be required for the NAF network.
At this time the WBL Participation Tracker should only be used to track NAF students.
Instructions for adding an activity can be found here.
Any person associated with an academy and/or district can create an activity. That person must be logged into ASH to access the WBL Participation Tracker.
Any person with student level permissions for the academy or district can assign students to an activity.
The creator is the person who added/created the activity in the participation tracker. They are the only person who has permission to edit, deactivate, or archive the activity.
Contributors will only see an activity if an academy they are connected to is listed as a participant. A contributor can then add students, view and copy, or upload files to the activity. They cannot make edits, deactivate, or archive the activity.
Instructions for editing an activity can be found here.
To determine the primary activity type for an internship expo or student conference, first determine the types of activities taking place and what is driving the impact at the event.
Will the students be interacting with industry professionals?
Will students be participating in mock interviews or resume reviews?
Will there be a guest speaker or opportunities for students to learn a skill?
Will there be opportunities for students to receive feedback from industry professionals?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you can consider coding the experience as a WBL activity and the primary WBL activity should be the main WBL activity taking place. Any additional activities can be selected under secondary activities.
If you answered no to these questions, students are most likely not participating in WBL so the experience should be coded as Other.
